The province of South Holland (Netherlands) receives many visitors every year and this number is expected to increase in the future. This offers (economic and societal) opportunities for the whole of South Holland, but also creates challenges at local, regional and national level. The government of the Province of South Holland would therefore like the inhabitants to benefit from the proceeds of tourism. That is why there is a focus on sustainable tourism and tourism as a means to support and realize social tasks. Together with regional parties, they work on long-term tourism visions, joint knowledge development and concrete implementation projects.

The Province of South Holland needed extra support in the Tourism team and commissioned DestinatieX to temporarily fulfill this role for a longer period (part-time).
