The question

Regional branding and marketing for the Duin- en Bollenstreek (Dune and bulb region) focuses on residents, companies and visitors. In 2019, the Economic Board Duin- en Bollenstreek formulated an organizing principle (strategic framework) and made concrete details of possible (executive) actions. Regional marketing is also about regional branding. In other words: integral marketing.

DestinatieX was asked to explore how the regional marketing and branding of the Dune and Bulb region can be organized.

Our approach

We have discussed the assignment with numerous stakeholders from various sectors (agro-food, space, tourism, retail, etc.), the existing VVV / marketing organizations and the official and administrative representatives in the Duin- en Bollenstreek. We spoke with them about the tasks, the brand, organizational forms and governance.

The result

The result is a final report describing:

  • What the task is in the field of branding and marketing;
  • Which tasks should be executed;
  • Which organizational scenarios would be most obvious including advantages and disadvantages;
  • Preconditions for success (governance, financial, managerial, etc.)
